This tuna apple salad, or apple tuna salad, however you prefer to call it, is my new favourite way to eat tuna. It’s also my favourite no-brainer salad as a meal. Click here for more great salad recipes.

It’s my new favourite salad and fruit combo to help satisfy a sweet craving whilst lowering the glycemic impact of consuming fruits, which is particularly important if you are eating Lower carb meals or are keen on regulating blood sugar or if you are on a diabetic-friendly regime. And finally, it’s my go-to dish when I don’t feel like dirtying any pots.
I have decided that I will be posting more regularly here from now on. While my heart is hoping for 5x a day, my schedule is looking at it with an unapologetic side-eye.

Tuna Apple Salad
Turn a can of tuna into a tuna apple salad for a delicious, salad as a meal. THIS Tuna salad with apple is low carb and diabetic friendly, paleo, sugar free, gluten free and whole 30 compliant. Perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 can tuna, drained (packed in water or olive oil)
- 1 small head romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1 cucumber, diced
- I small apple, diced
- 3 tablespoons good mayonnaise (homemade, avocado mayo, Dukes, Hellmans)
- Himalayan pink salt to taste
- Freshly cracked black pepper
- A few dashes of your favourite all purpose seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- Wash fruit and vegetables and spin dry In a salad spinner
- Cube cucumbers, apples
- Chop lettuce into bite-sized pieces
- Toss ingredients in a salad bowl and serve. Enough for two portions for a whole meal.
