I have decided to do a roundup of really great fish and seafood recipes I have developed on the blog over the years. Please share this post using the share buttons below! If you have been following for years, you may recognize some of these and if you are among the new, welcome to our table. We Jamaicans are very hospitable people and we love good food and good conversations. We really honour the bounty of the land and spend time creating dishes full of flavour and love. Our mission is “Serving you the good life!”
As island people, we LOVE seafood- for obvious reasons- after all we are surrounded by the Caribbean Sea. Though we use lots of fresh seafood, we also use salt cured and smoke cured seafood as well especially during regular weekday meals. It is my hope that you will be able to recreate the essence of Jamaican hospitality and taste with these dishes, bringing new flavours into your own home like a sweet, fresh, salty gust of Caribbean sea breeze. Remember to subscribe to the blog for more recipes and to keep up to date. Find and follow me on Facebook, Instagram Pinterestand YouTube as well. Now here are some of the most popular and best Jamaican seafood recipes…

That’s quite a round up! The only one I recognize is the ackee and salt fish. I’m a Newfoundlander and did you know that the Newfoundlanders have quite a history with Jamaica? We used to trade our salt cod to Jamaica in exchange for their rum! Of course, that was quite a long time ago.
